Microcurrent Therapy (Electrical Stimulation)

Microcurrent therapy, a form of electrical stimulation therapy, is a treatment that helps relieve pain by delivering a low-level electrical current. The current is applied to specific parts of your body in an attempt to ease pain. The frequency of the electrical impulses can vary depending on the type of device and the treatment goals. The electrical waves from the microcurrent device are thought to stimulate energy (ATP) production, which cells need for tissue repair and recovery.
At Kingsbridge Physiotherapy Centre in Mississauga, our physiotherapists can tell you whether microcurrent therapy suits your condition.
